Rebuild motorcycles. Launch a career.
Motorcycles
Delta Garage is a space where High School students will learn to restore and customize vintage motorcycles. Our program runs from September through June and during that time participants will join us for weekly wrench sessions on Sunday afternoon’s from 1PM-4PM at our workshop located at 2901 16th St. in Everett on the property of Delta Community Baptist Church.
Mission
More than simply tinkering on old bikes, over the course of the school year we will provide participants with the connections, resources, and support they need to access careers in the mechanical trades (e.g. Auto mechanics and technicians, electricians, HVAC technicians, locksmiths, machinists, welders, etc.) Employer demand for individuals skilled in the mechanical trades is high and these well-paying careers can be readily accessed with only a high school diploma or equivalent.
Mentorship
All these activities take place in the context of steady, safe, and supportive relationships with our team of screened adult volunteer mentors. Beyond skill development and career guidance, mentors also serve as role models for leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Thanks to our generous supporters, Delta Garage is free for our participants, but space is limited! If you're interested in being part of this year’s cohort, visit deltagarage.org/apply today!
